Mississippi Academy of Family Physicians
is the state association of family physicians. It is one of the state’s largest primary care specialty organizations, with more than 1,030 members. The MAFP, headquartered in Ridgeland, MS, serves the family medicine community and provides a unified voice for family medicine. The American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), the MAFP’s parent organization, maintains a membership of more than 115,900 members in 50 states, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and Guam.
Mississippi Association of Medical Staff Services
is a state-wide organization established to provide opportunities for continuing education and improve the professional knowledge and skills of people who are engaged in medical staff services, activities in healthcare, or healthcare-related organizations.
Mississippi Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics
- The MS Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) is a professional membership organization of more than 340 Mississippi pediatricians, both primary care providers and subspecialists. Mississippi Primary Health Care Association
is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) membership organization comprised of 21 Community Health Centers providing quality comprehensive healthcare in accredited medical homes. Our health centers provide care to over 280,000 patients within 187 sites throughout Mississippi’s underserved communities. Community Health Centers generate more than a quarter of a billion dollars per capita to our state’s economy. For over three decades, we have provided our members with exceptional training, technical support, and advocacy at the state and federal level.
Mississippi Public Health Association
promotes public and personal health in Mississippi and professional development of public health workers through advocacy and education activities.
Mississippi Osteopathic Medical Association advances the practice of osteopathic medicine as an independent, scientific and complete system of medicine for the restoration and preservation of good health, and to present programs of education and information that contribute to the effective, professional practice of osteopathic health care for the benefit of all members of the profession.
Mississippi Rural Health Association
is a resource for professionals and advocates for rural health in the state and provides resources, education, and advocacy in support of rural health-related matters.
Mississippi State Medical Association
is the largest physician advocacy organization in Mississippi, representing nearly 5,000 physicians and medical students. Any physician with a license to practice medicine in Mississippi and any student enrolled in a Mississippi medical school is eligible for membership.
