2023 Graduate Medical Education Summit

The Office Of Mississippi Physician Workforce (OMPW) hosted its Graduate Medical Education (GME) Summit on August 25, 2023 at HORNE Event Center in Ridgeland, MS. By hosting a summit for the exchange of creative concepts and educational innovations, we hope to advance health professions education toward a greater level of excellence and well-being. The free one-day event is designed to increase participants' understanding of key issues in GME through a combination of information sessions, practical advice, and GME updates. 

The summit was held in collaboration with Germane Solutions, Horne LLP, Mississippi Academy of Family Physicians, New Innovations, University of Mississippi Medical Center, EC-Healthnet, and OMPW. 

Topics included: Residency Marketing & Recruitment Strategies, Leadership Development, Time Management & Productivity, Wellness, GME Finance (Basic & Advanced), New Innovations, and Effective Resident Feedback & Evaluation for Resident Growth.
